Important numbers
Several days before you depart on your RV trip, consider giving your travel itinerary to family members or friends as an added safety measure. Also, ask a relative or friend to be a designated person to call in the event your party gets separated in an emergency situation. A meet-up location can be coordinated through this contact. Put copies of the emergency contact information in your phones, billfolds and emergency preparedness kit.
Don’t forget the pets
If the family dogs and cats come along on your RV excursions, have extra supplies for them, too. Put extra food in the emergency preparedness kit for them. And think about adding reflective leashes and cloth water bowls, as well.
